Read our RNA Splicing Review

In the April 25 2022 issue of Developmental Cell, we review a very exciting study published in the same issue and conducted by the Olson group at UT Southwestern Medical center. In this work, the authors show that RNA splicing factors regulate cardiomyocyte (CM) cytokinesis and ploidy during development. Moreover, Gan et. al., make key mechanistic insights into CM proliferation and uncover fascinating connections between RNA splicing and ventricular wall growth.
