HLHS Study Published
We are delighted to report that our developmental study was recently published in Nucleic Acids Research! In this work, we employed genetics, genomics, and molecular and cellular biology approaches to determine how the RNA binding protein Rbfox2 regulates cardiac chamber formation. Bringing together expertise from The Texas Medical Center in Houston and neighboring UTMB at Galveston, we are very excited to share our new insights regarding the genetic components of cardiac development and human congenital heart disease, namely hypoplastic left heart syndrome.
