We would like to offer our warmest congratulations to Dr. Rich Li in our Texas Heart Cardiomyocyte Renewal Laboratory for being awarded the “Best Oral Presentation Award” at the Weinstein Cardiovascular Development & Regeneration Conference in Marseille, France. Drs. Li and Martin traveled to this conference this past week and met with world leaders in the CV development and regeneration fields. The title of his talk was “Spatial transcriptomics reveal a colocalized cellular triad required for heart renewal”. In this work, Rich described new insights into the cardiomyocyte microenvironment, specifically highlighting on subpopulations of co-localized cardiomyocytes, fibroblasts, and macrophages that are important for cardiac regeneration. Congratulations again Dr. Li!
