Dr. Martin at USF in Tampa, FL

The USF Health Morsani College of Medicine and Heart Institute in downtown Tampa.

Last week, Dr. Martin was honored to be an invited speaker at the University of South Florida Heart Institute (HI) in Tampa, FL, at the kind invitation of Dr. Kunhua Song and colleagues. During the visit, he was privileged to meet with HI faculty members, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate fellows. Together, they discussed various topics, including collaborative opportunities, new approaches to cardiac repair, and the implications of our lab’s work for regenerative therapies.

Dr. Martin gives his lecture “Hippo Signaling in Heart Regeneration“ to USF HI investigators.

His talk, “Hippo Signaling in Heart Regeneration,” was a part of the USF Health HI Seminar Series, a prominent educational program at the institute that features top cardiovascular scientists from around the US. This was Dr. Martin’s first visit to the HI, and he commented that the experience was very fruitful and rewarding. Stay tuned to our blog for updates on Dr. Martin’s experiences and the latest breakthroughs from our lab!
